Brightwood Adult Day to Host Public Health Scientist Dr. Bhuwan Gautam This Friday, December 12th
Brightwood Adult Day is honored to announce the upcoming visit of Dr. Bhuwan Gautam, a distinguished public health scientist who has accepted our invitation to share his expertise with our seniors. Highly motivated in helping older adults and committed to community wellbeing, Dr. Gautam will deliver his presentation on Friday, December 12th, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
Dr. Bhuwan Gautam is a public health scientist from the Nepali-speaking Bhutanese community in the United States. His work focuses on chronic disease prevention and mental health, and he is trained in public health research, intervention design, and program evaluation. Dr. Gautam has collaborated with Harvard University, Boston College, and McGill University as a co-investigator on multiple mental health research projects among resettled Bhutanese older adults in the United States and Canada. These collaborations have resulted in numerous co-published research articles and book chapters. Dr. Gautam holds Doctor of Public Health degree from the Penn State College of Medicine and Master of Public Administration from Westfield State University. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Gautam as he shares findings from his doctoral dissertation conducted among Nepali-speaking Bhutanese patients and healthcare providers in our area! He has accepted our invitation and is coming to our Brightwood Adult Day to share his expertise with our seniors, and he is very motivated in helping seniors.
