PAC Presents Annual Audit Report 2024–2025 to Parliament; Holds Consultations with Key Agencies
The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) today presented the Annual Audit Report (AAR) 2024–2025 to Hon’ble Members of Parliament at the Raven Hall of the National Council. The report was submitted by the Royal Audit Authority, highlighting key audit findings, recurring issues across government agencies, and recommendations to strengthen public financial management and accountability. As part of the review process, the PAC also held consultation meetings with the Civil Society Organization Authority (CSOA), the Royal Monetary Authority (RMA), and the Bhutan Standards Bureau (BSB) to gather inputs and enhance institutional coordination in addressing audit observations.

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Parliament today presented the Annual Audit Report (AAR) 2024–2025 to Hon’ble Members of Parliament at the Raven Hall of the National Council.
The report was presented by the Royal Audit Authority led by the Auditor General. It highlighted key audit findings and recurring issues observed across various government agencies, along with recommendations aimed at strengthening public financial management, transparency, and accountability.
The presentation was attended by members of Parliament, where discussions focused on improving compliance and addressing systemic financial management gaps identified in the audit.
As part of its broader review of the AAR 2024–2025, the PAC also conducted consultation meetings with the Civil Society Organization Authority (CSOA), the Royal Monetary Authority (RMA), and the Bhutan Standards Bureau (BSB). The consultations aimed to gather insights and strengthen institutional coordination in addressing audit observations and enhancing governance standards.

सत्तारूढ राष्ट्रिय स्वतन्त्र पार्टी (रास्वपा) का सांसद मनिष खनालले काठमाडौंको बल्खु किनारामा भएको सुकुम्बासी बस्ती व्यवस्थापनका क्रममा भएको घटनाप्रति गहिरो दुःख व्यक्त गरेका छन्। नवलपुर–२ बाट निर्वाचित सांसद खनालले शुक्रबार राति सामाजिक सञ्जालमार्फत आफ्नो धारणा सार्वजनिक गर्दै राज्यका लागि प्रत्येक नागरिकको जीवन र आत्मसम्मान सर्वोच्च विषय भएको उल्लेख गरेका छन्। उनले “विस्थापन होइन, सुरक्षित व्यवस्थापन” को मान्यतालाई प्राथमिकता दिनुपर्ने बताउँदै बल्खु घटनालाई दुःखद भनेका छन्। घटनाका क्रममा ६१ वर्षीय इन्द्रबहादुर राई मृत अवस्थामा फेला परेका थिए। प्रहरीका अनुसार उनी बागमती नदीले बगाएर ल्याएको अवस्थामा फेला परेका हुन्। सांसद खनालले बस्ती व्यवस्थापनका क्रममा बालबालिकाको शिक्षा, नागरिकको स्वास्थ्य र परिवारको मानसिक अवस्थाप्रति थप संवेदनशील हुनुपर्ने आवश्यकता औँल्याएका छन्। उनले सरकारलाई सुरक्षित बसोबासको लक्ष्यलाई व्यवहारमा उतार्दा “न्याय मात्र होइन, न्याय भएको अनुभूति पनि हुनुपर्छ” भन्ने मान्यतालाई मजबुत बनाउन आग्रह गरेका छन्। खनालले मृतकप्रति श्रद्धाञ्जलि अर्पण गर्दै शोकसन्तप्त परिवारप्रति गहिरो समवेदना पनि व्यक्त गरेका छन्।
काठमाडौं उपत्यकाका विभिन्न सुकुमवासी बस्तीहरू हटाइएपछि सरकारले विस्थापित परिवारका लागि पाँच स्थानमा अस्थायी बसोबासको व्यवस्था गरेको छ। स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण र विवरण संकलनपछि उनीहरूलाई होल्डिङ सेन्टरमा स्थानान्तरण गर्ने तयारी गरिएको छ।
भूटान सरकारले इन्धन आयात लागत बढ्दो दबाबका बीच मूल्य स्थिर राख्दै महँगाइ नियन्त्रण गर्ने प्रयास गरेको छ। NFPSF अन्तर्गत ठूलो आर्थिक समर्थन प्रदान गर्दै पेट्रोल र डिजेलको मूल्य कायम राखिएको छ, जसले उपभोक्ता लागत र समग्र महँगाइलाई नियन्त्रणमा राख्न सहयोग पुर्याएको छ।
